Georgi Radev is an awarded and world recognised rum and tiki ambassador and co-owner of Laki Kane, London’s Tropical Escape. He travels the world representing Re’Al and Finest Call as a subject matter expert on all things tiki and cocktails.⁠ ⁠

Born in Bulgaria and having completed his education in insurance and banking, he started his first job in an office at age 20. However, it wasn’t long before he found the confines of the office environment didn’t match his free-spirited nature and after marvelling at the skills of bartenders in his local area, joined a bar course organised by the two directors of the Bulgarian Bartenders Organisation. Bartending quickly became an obsession for Georgi and he studied bartending and flair relentlessly.⁠ ⁠ Georgi has been instrumental in the establishment of cocktail menus across many of London’s top bars through his consultancy role. He has created signature serves and cocktails for many big brands like Ciroc, Staritsky Levitsky, Zeo, Green Island, Chairman’s Reserve, Mount Gay, Plantation, Bacardi, Re'al and many more.⁠ ⁠

All this experience was leading to the opening of his bar Laki Kane in July 2018. Laki Kane has since won the best UK Rum Menu by Imbibe two years in a row. Laki Kane was also nominated in the Top 3 Best UK Specialty Bars by Class Magazine and has received many more awards. This year Georgi and the team have been nominated for UK Best Bar Team and he is personally nominated for Bar Owner of the Year and Front House of the Year by Imbibe and Class magazines.⁠ ⁠
