Using the highest quality, fresh pressed sugarcane and first run molasses, Burdekin crafts spirits of provenance. We utilise a special yeast blend and a temperature controlled ferment to create elegant, refined spirits, able to be enjoyed by all. Hybrid pot/column distilled in a single pass, after resting, we cut our spirit with our own pure spring water, sourced from an aquifer deep below our farmstead.

We use local feedstock, including whole stick cane crushed in paddock in our own mobile crush. We seek the highest quality barrel stock for our aged products, and store them in tropical North Queensland where the heat and humidity generate our signature elegant, refined  flavour profile. Using long term aged Pedro Ximénez barrels as well as quality American oak first run ex-bourbon barrels, our aged spirits are infused with layers of vanilla, wood smoke and butterscotch.

 
Our unaged products truly reflect our terroir, with our single origin Distillers Edition, the unaged Second Giru Cane Rum, the “Coral Sea Strength” being awarded World’s Best Unaged Rum 2025 at the prestigious San Francisco International Wine & Spirits Competition.  Burdekin's core range: Virgin, Vintage and Premium have all been awarded double gold at either the American Distillers Institute awards or SFIWSC.
