
Founded by husband-and-wife team Paul and Jacine Rutasikwa, our company produces a multi-award-winning range of artisanal Scottish rums from scratch at our distillery in Livingston, distributed across the UK and Europe.
As one of the first UK businesses to produce rums distilled from scratch on home soil, we strive to bring ground-breaking innovation to our spirit-making and cultivate a new generation of rum enthusiasts. This approach leads to exciting new rums that offer surprising flavour and character in every bottle. Based in Scotland, we’re part of the country’s exciting new wave of rum producers collectively building a strong international reputation.
Our spirits are carefully fermented, distilled, matured and bottled at our distillery and bonded warehouse in Livingston. Paul, Head Distiller, meticulously manages every batch of spirits. A rum and whisky connoisseur and a civil engineer by profession, Paul perfected his distilling skills at Heriot-Watt University. We produce the full spectrum of rum styles – from high-quality unaged white rums to smooth, cask-aged rums and aromatic spiced and fruity-flavoured rums. This drives our portfolio approach – building our success around two signature brands, Matugga and Liv, and allows us to target diverse consumers and different drinking occasions.
Global drinks experts have recognised our rums through several prestigious international awards, including an OUTSTANDING GOLD Medal for our first 3-year-old rum from this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition.
We also offer contract distilling and a private rum cask ownership programme.
