In this session, hosted by Matt Pietrek, Fannie Thibaud and Robert Gordon, we’ll examine why high-ester rums emerged over a century ago in several locales. We’ll also travel well beyond just counting esters to examine a holistic view of congeners and rum flavors. Along the way, you’ll enjoy some high-ester rums from unexpected sources.
